Characters and scenes: a three-way tie

OurDream AI, Candy AI and Swipey AI share the top customization grade, 10. OurDream pairs a six-step builder with group chats and a library of over 11 million characters made by its users. 3. Candy AI: for romance roleplay on a small budget

Candy holds an A at 9.1, and its yearly plan works out at $3.99 a month ($47.88), with unlimited texting and 100 tokens a month for media. I was a paying Premium subscriber for over two weeks in May 2026. Romance mode was the part I rated highest, and the memory was part of what made it work. No app scores higher on value: JOI holds the only 10, inside an A− at 8.9. The yearly plan costs $47.99, roughly $4 a month, and unused Neurons, JOI’s media credits, roll into the next month. 6. Lovescape: for a character built trait by trait

Lovescape’s builder works through more than 100 traits, from personality and role to relationship type and message length, and Lovescape’s blog states that memory is permanent on every plan.
